CONCEPCION, Tarlac Mayor Noel Villanueva will donate his monthly salary to scholars, his information officer said.

“He is committed to fulfilling his mission to provide quality education to his constituents in Concepcion, especially that Tarlac State University campus here has just opened,” his information officer Ronald Dizon said.

Villanueva said that each TSU student at the Concepcion campus will receive P1,000 per month.

He encouraged his co-workers and like-minded private citizens, especially business people, to donate P1,000 each month to the scholarship initiative.

The local government invested P86 million in the campus.

The 25-classroom TSU-m in Concepcion is the third campus established by the local government of Tarlac. The other campuses are in Capas and La Paz towns.
