TACLOBAN CITY DEPLOYS 8 GRANTEES OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
THE CITY government of Tacloban said that it accepted eight individuals for its paid Government Internship Program.
The GIP provides opportunities to the city’s young workforce to gain valuable experience in the government sector.
The Tacloban City Information Office said the Public Employment Service Office facilitated the deployment of the eight interns last July 4.
They will work for six months and will receive a remuneration of P375 per day.
During the first semester of this year, at least 10 indigents aged 18-30 were given the opportunity to participate in the GIP.
To qualify for the program, an individual must provide a copy of their Form 137 or report card, live birth certificate and employment clearance from their barangay.
Meanwhile, college-level or graduate applicants must present a copy of their transcript of records, live birth certificate, and barangay employment clearance.
“Applications are accepted at the PESO, located on the ground floor of the USAID Building at Kanhuraw Hill. The next deployment under the program will be held next year,” TCIO said.
