SULU STATE COLLEGE, LGU PARTNER FOR FOOD SECURITY PROJECT
THE SULU State College’s School of Agriculture partnered with the municipality of Omar in Sulu province for a project that aims to ensure food security in the area.
The project aims to provide the locals with the proper knowledge and skills in agriculture.
“The School of Agriculture will be catering its programs and services in the municipality and with the advocacy of the LGU on food security,” SSC said on Facebook.
“This will provide opportunities for the locals to be equipped with the skills and knowledge that would help to continue the progress and development of the municipality,” it added.
SSC officials led by President Charisma Ututalum and Omar Mayor Abdulbaki Ajibon physically met for the signing of the agreement.
SSC previously partnered with other municipalities like Luuk, Panamao, Talipao, Pata, Indanan, Maimbung, Parang, and Patikul for a research project on agriculture.
