STUDENT FROM IRIGA CITY RECOGNIZED AS MOST OUTSTANDING CAMPUS JOURNALIST
A STUDENT from Iriga City has been recognized as the Most Outstanding Campus Journalist in the Bicol Region this year.
Jascyl Jee Sayson, editorial cartoonist and participant in the National Schools Press Conference 2024, reminded her fellow campus journalists to be responsible and share factual information.
She was named as 2023 NSPC Secondary Level Narrative Champion and will compete in the same category again this year in Carcar City in Cebu.
Sayson believes that ‘contest journalism’ is important in promoting journalism among students in the country, however, she pointed out that the lives of student journalists should not revolve around awards or recognition.
