THE LOCAL government of Silang in Cavite province distributed school supplies to students ahead of the opening of classes.

The local government said it targets to provide school supplies to 37,000 elementary students in public schools.

Each recipient received a bag filled with notebooks, pencils, crayons and folders, among others.

Silang Mayor Kevin Anarma led the distribution. Also present during the event were Sangguninang members Ari Velazco, Carlo Madlansacay, Ivee Reyes, Junjang Batingal, Eric Cokiat Garcia and Board Member Aidel Belamide.

“Tulong-tulong po tayo, sama-sama tayo. Wala pong imposible kung tulong-tulong tayo… Parang ‘yung mga bata mapagtapos natin, mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan,” Anarna said.

The distribution of the school supplies will continue in the next few days, the LGU said.
