SDO QUIRINO INITIATES PROGRAM FOR LEARNERS WITH DISABILITY
THE Schools Division Office Quirino launched a project Monday supporting learners with disability.
The ‘Husay sa Inklusibong Pagkatuto was initiated through Project Widening Engagement on Sign Language for Inclusion Geared towards a Nurturing Division.
“Today marks the beginning of a remarkable chapter in SDO Quirino’s history, where barriers are shattered, connections are forged, and the seeds of empathy and understanding are sown,” SDO-Quirino said in a statement.
The project aims to cultivate a profound understanding of learners with disabilities by delving into the intricacies of Filipino Sign Language as mandated by Republic Act 11106, according to an SDO-Quirino post.
The office extended its appreciation to ASDS Cheryl Ramiro, being behind the ‘Husay sa Inklusibong Pagkatuto’, and for her unwavering commitment to inclusivity.
Meanwhile, SDO described SDS Madelyn Macalling as a ‘true advocate’ for inclusive education.
