THE SCHOOLS Division Office of Baguio City recognized schools and employees who made various contributions in education in the region.

SDO-Baguio, through the Department of Education CAR’s Gawad Cordillera, awarded SDOs, schools and employees for their active engagement and exceptional contributions in achieving the delivery of high-quality basic education.

In a speech during the event, Undersecretary for Governance and Field Operations Revsee Escobedo commended the awardees.

“The honor and dignity of the Department of Education are set to higher standards because of you,” Escobedo said.

“Congratulations for you have performed wonderfully. Let us be reminded that integrity and honor are not conditional but mirror images of ourselves, thus, we must act accordingly so that people around us look up to us as their role models,” he added.

Meanwhile, Regional Director Estela Leon-Cariño recognized that the awardees’ efforts were “fundamental elements” in achieving the vision, mission and goals of the organization.

“Let these awards serve as inspiration to a more committed and dedicated service to our clienteles,” she said.
