RED CROSS INOCULATES ILIGAN CITY MINORS, UNVACCINATED PARENTS
THE PHILIPPINE Red Cross converted Jollibee and McDonald’s fast-food chain into vaccination sites for minors aged 12-17 years old, along with their unvaccinated parents.
PRC Iligan Chapter vaccinated 2,370 individuals during the first four days of operation which began on Nov. 13.
Meanwhile, PRC Iligan chapter was the first to open a Bakuna Center in Mindanao, which already vaccinated over 32,000 individuals since it started operations last July 2021.
“We need to make use of our resources efficiently and effectively. Ang pakikipag-partner natin sa McDonald’s at Jollibee sa Iligan City ay mas mapapabilis ang ating pagbabakuna sa mga bata upang sila ay makapasok na sa eskwelahan,” said PRC chairman Sen. Richard Gordon.
“Nakikita naman natin ang epekto ng pagpapabakuna at bumababa ang kaso ng Covid19 cases, but we should not let our guards down and observe proper health protocols,” added the senator.
As of Novembet 18, PRC has inoculated a total of 532,604 individuals.
PRC through its 25 bakuna centers and 17 bakuna buses, continues its duty as an auxiliary to the government, and assists in the vaccination program to protect more Filipino people against Covid19.
