PANGASINAN STATE U, DOST RENEW POVERTY ALLEVIATION PARTNERSHIP
THE PANGASINAN State University and the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office 1 aim to help more towns and municipalities by continuing the implementation of poverty alleviation programs in the province.
The two agencies renewed their partnership to ease poverty through the Community and Empowerment through Science and Technology program.
“CEST Program aims to provide appropriate science and technology interventions to the less privileged communities in the region focusing on Livelihood/ Economic Enterprise Development, Health and Nutrition, Human Resource Development, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and Climate Change Adaptation and Environmental Protection and Conservation,” PSU said on its website.
“PSU and DOST renew their partnership in the implementation of the CEST program in the province of Pangasinan with the hope of strengthening provision of location-specific technologies [adaptable] to the communities,” it added.
This time, the two agencies plan to implement the program in the municipalities of Agno, Bautista and Umingan in Pangasinan.
