THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Palawan had started deliberating on the proposal to split Department of Education-Palawan into two school division offices.

The motion to create the North and South Division Offices was filed by board members Rafael Ortega Jr., Ryan Maminta and Roseller Pineda.

Pineda said that while cities like Puerto Princesa have a single division, a more localized strategy is necessary for the province of Palawan because of its size.

“Ang Palawan ay mayroon ding iisang division, pero ang sa Palawan ay i-divide natin into 2 to make it 3. North and South plus Puerto Princesa,” Pineda said.

He said that one of the main challenges confronting DepEd Palawan is finding speedy solutions to problems in every school in the province.
