PINANGUNAHAN ni Bokod, Benguet Mayor Thomas Wales, Jr. ang pamamahagi ng school supplies, internet modem, flashdrive, at iba pang kagamitang pang-online class sa libo-libong mag-aaral ng bayan noong Setyembre 28.

Sa ulat ng tanggapan ng alkalde, natanggap na ni Bokod District Department of Education Superintendent Herminia Osting ang 2,800 flashdrives, 2,500 USB speakers, 16 photocopy machines, 300 LET TV with USB, halos 250 Globe at SMART prepaid modems, at halos 250 Globe prepaid card para sa internet.

Nasa P5.71 milyon  ang pondong inilaan para sa proyektong ito na layong matugunan ang lahat ng pangangailangan ng mga guro at mag-aaral sa panahon ng pandemya.

Paliwanag ni Wales, ““The LGU of Bokod wants to support our teachers, students, and parents in the distance learning that is mandated because of the pandemic. We want our students not to be left behind for this school year.”

“Further, most parents are affected from this pandemic because they have lost their means of living. Through the materials the Municipal School Board had purchased, we pray that the parents’ burden will be lessened,” dagdag niya.

Hindi rin niya malilimutan ang mga bayaning guro ng kasalukuyan.

“Our teachers are suffering from the scarcity of materials; thus, we hope want to give them these materials and equipment for them to better serve the students,” sabi ng alkalde.
