OVER 800 SCHOOLS IN CORDILLERA RESUME F2F CLASSES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education said that 863 public and private schools in the Cordillera Administrative Region have resumed face-to-face classes.
Dr. Florante Vergara, assistant regional director of the Department of Education’s CAR office, said that 678 elementary schools, 162 secondary schools, and 23 integrated schools are holding physical classes.
These include 267 schools in Mountain Province, 265 in Benguet, 207 in Ifugao, 61 in Tabuk City, 48 in Kalinga, eight in Apayao, five in Abra and two in Baguio City.
Vergara said that the implementation of in-person classes was done in close collaboration with the local government units.
Each school is required to maintain a triage area, which will be stocked with alcohol and masks for students and school personnel to use before being allowed to enter their classrooms.
