OVER 100 CEBU, NEGROS YOUTH FINISH LIFE SKILLS TRAINING
MORE than a hundred youth in Cebu and Negros Oriental finished a 10-day Life Skills Training.
The “graduates” — 95 from Cebu and 49 from Negros Oriental — completed 37 modules of the training that was part of the JobStart Philippines program of the Department of Labor and Employment.
The DOLE worked closely with the concerned Public Employment Service Offices in the implementation of the training program.
DOLE-7 Director Salome Siaton said that the agency has always been at the forefront in promoting decent and equal job opportunities especially for the youth.
“The Department came up with this kind of training to support them. It is designed to strengthen their personal values and skills to help them become successful jobseekers,” she said.
The training program aimed to expose the youth to training experiences that will help them recognize and appreciate their own knowledge, skills, values and professional goals in relation to the demands of the labor market.
