MOH-BARMM PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP TO 6 MEDICAL STUDENTS
THE MINISTRY of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao signed a memorandum of agreement with Brokenshire College School of Medicine in Davao City to provide scholarship to six medical students.
“We could not predict the future. We have to be practical in matters like this,” said MOH-BARMM Minister Dr. Bashary Latiph.
“We acknowledge that this MOA is the first step towards the increase of health care professionals for the BARMM,” he added.
Each student will enjoy free tuition and other expenses covered by the BARMM government while studying medicine.
Latiph said that the MOH-BARMM maintains its slogan “Serbisyong Medikal Damhin” as it pushes for better health services in the region.
“This in turn shall be another milestone in the continued realization of our efforts in pursuit of attaining optimum health and wellness for our people in the Bangsamoro” Latiph said.
Noraina Kamid, a registered nurse and coordinator of the MOH-BARMM scholarship program, represented Latiph in the MOA signing with Rev. Oliver Paraiso of the BSCM.
