THE EDUCATION Facilities Section of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education conducted several groundbreaking activities for the construction of various school building projects in the Division of Maguindanao II and the Special Geographic Areas.

MBHTE said a 1-story, 1-classroom building worth P1.2 million will be built at Datu Pinguiaman Elementary School Annex at the Division of Maguindanao II.

Four school buildings are also expected to rise in Nasapian Elementary School with two classrooms worth P2.3 million. A P2.3-million classroom will also be constructed each at the Sambuwalan Elementary School and Endaila Silongan Central Elementary School. Meanwhile, the Dagadas Elementary School will have a classroom worth P1.55 million.

The funding for the projects came from the 2020 Transitional Development Impact Fund.

“The ministry’s EFS is also continuously conducting thorough validation and monitoring of all schools in the region to assess the possible school building needs of the learners,” MBHTE said.

“Construction of school buildings is consistent with the 12-Point Priority Agenda of the education ministry towards promoting accessibility of quality education and developing schools as a safe place for learning and development,” it added.
