MARIANO MARCOS STATE U CONDUCTS PDP TRAINING OF DEPED APAYAO
TO FURTHER upskill teachers and non-teaching staff, the Mariano Marcos State University has started implementing the Professional Development Program of the Department of Education Schools Division in Apayao.
The training, composed of six webinar-workshops that will be held within the year, aims to help calibrate the competencies of teachers, program training director Dr. Bert Gamiao said.
The program is part of DepEd’s Individual Professional Development Plan.
Dr. Imelda Najorda, program training coordinator, said the topics include oral and written communication skills; improving communication skills on school managers; training design preparation; program/project development and management; research; and music.
College of Teacher Education dean and project consultant Dr. Eliza Samson said the training program aims to improve the quality of instruction, management, and education.
The online training program was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signed by MMSU’s vice president for academic affairs Dr. Prima Fe Franco and DepEd-Apayao schools division superintendent Dr. Benedicta Gamatero.
