GENSAN SDO GIVEN THOUSANDS OF RADIOS, FLASH DRIVES
THE SCHOOLS Division Office in General Santos City received 4,942 transistor radios and 1,918 flash drives from the local government for its “Radyo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko” project.
The devices will be given to students for their modular learning.
Schools Division Superintendent Rommel Flores urged the schools district supervisors to strengthen the Radio-Based Institutions and their partnerships with local radio stations.
Flores said RBI is the most accessible and cheapest means by which teachers and students can communicate. The flash drives will be used for the pre-recorded lessons in locations that do not have signal.
Indigenous communities and people in remote areas will be prioritized in the distribution of the devices.
The A. Biscayda Elementary School will receive 464 radio units, while 276 units will go to the New Guadalupe Elementary School.
