F2F CLASSES IN MARAWI TO START IN SEPTEMBER
SCHOOLS in Marawi will likely resume face-to-face classes in September this year, the Department of Education said.
The plan was aligned with the targets set by the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, Dr. Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto, Marawi City Schools Division superintendent, said.
“The MBHTE wanted a hundred percent opening of our classes because the last two years brought learning losses to our children who were affected by the two-year pandemic,” Unte-Alonto said in a statement.
She said that 13 schools have so far joined the progressive expansion of physical classes.
There had been no reported cases of Covid19 since the start of F2F classes, the official added.
MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal has provided P50,000 for the 13 identified recipient schools that qualified to hold in-person classes.
