DUMAGUETE CITY APPROVES P63.2-M PROJECT FOR CONSTRUCTION, COMPLETION OF 8 PUBLIC SCHOOLS
THE CITY government of Dumaguete approved P63.2 million worth of infrastructure projects for eight public schools in the city in preparation for the resumption of face-to-face classes.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said the construction and completion of the projects will be charged to the city’s Special Education Fund.
“Both the city government of Dumaguete and Deped Dumaguete reiterated their joint commitment to improve access and quality of instruction for the thousands of learners enrolled in the public schools,” Felipe said.
The projects include the construction of a three-story/six-classroom school building and the completion of the two-story/two-classroom school building for the Camanjac National High School; and a two-story/six-classroom school building for the Cantil-e Elementary School.
There is also a two-story/eight-classroom school building and improvement of the covered stage for the Cadawinonan Elementary School; and a two-story/eight-classroom school building for the North City Elementary School.
Also included in the initiative is a two-story/two-classroom school building and completion of the two-story/two-classroom building for the Junob National High School; a two-story/two-classroom school building for the Calindagan Elementary School; a two-story/eight-classroom school building for the South City Elementary School; and the electrical upgrade for the Dumaguete City National High School.
City Schools Division Superintendent Cyrus Elejorde Gregorio lauded Remollo and the city government for the consistent support to the various projects of Deped Dumaguete.
