THE DEPARTMENT of Education and the Davao Task Force partnered to ensure the safety and protection of children and teachers from all kinds of threats.

TF Davao Commander Col. Darren Comia said that the task force will focus on grade school and high school students. He added that they plan to teach the children the importance of an active citizenry in maintaining peace and order in the city.

“For 2022, we already have plans in place, one of which is to institutionalize our culture of security,” Comia said.

TF Davao has created information and education campaign materials designed for children. Meanwhile, DepEd division superintendents in the city will decide how these materials will be distributed.

TF Davao hopes to reach all elementary and high school students in public and private schools.

Teachers will also become partners in the project.

“What we want is to make the children understand that everyone must help, that the city’s security is not just the concern of the security forces but the concern of all,” Comia said.
