THE DEPARTMENT of Education has recognized 16 teachers from the DepEd Ifugao Schools Division as Indigenous Knowledge Educators.

The teachers completed the Ifugao Indigenous Knowledge Educators Training Program — a project of the Ifugao State University in partnership with National Chengchi University of Taiwan.

They completed various capacity-building seminars and workshops on Ifugao indigenous knowledge, systems and practices.

The program participants came from different schools in Ifugao Province.

IFSU President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, the program leader, said that the 16 teachers developed and produced at least 45 contextualized learning modules on different learning areas.

These teachers received their recognition during the virtual 2nd Graduation Ceremony at IFSU on May 3.
