DEPED PROVIDES LEARNING MATERIALS IN TYPHOON-HIT CARAGA SCHOOLS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education provided learning materials to schools affected by Typhoon Odette in the Caraga Administrative Region.
DepEd delivered “Brigada Pagbasa” learning materials to four Schools Division Office in the region through its External Partnerships Service.
The learning materials were printed and provided by LBC Express and LBC Foundation, the agency said.
DepEd said that the program aims to improve learners’ literacy and numeracy by encouraging them to read.
The learning resources will also help support the agency’s 3Bs goal or “Bawat Bata Bumabasa,” EPS Director Edel Carag said.
The Rapid Assessment of Damages Report said that 5,343,650 learning materials worth P168 million were damaged by Typhoon Odette in the Caraga Region.
