DEPED-MOUNTAIN PROVINCE HOLDS MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT TRAINING
THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Mountain Province has conducted a capability-building session on Mental Health Assessment Tools and the Establishment of a Referral System for school health personnel.
According to DepEd-Mountain Province, the training aimed to “equip school health personnel with the tools and knowledge needed to better address mental health challenges among students.”
Participants were trained on using mental health assessment tools to identify and support students with mental health concerns.
Schools Division Superintendent Benilda Daytaca emphasized the importance of this training.
“This training is a game-changer. It empowers us to be proactive in supporting our learners’ mental well-being,” she said.
The training also featured expert speakers who discussed the early warning signs of mental health issues and the importance of prompt intervention, DepEd said.
