DEPED-DAVAO ORIENTAL INTENSIFIES EFFORTS TO INCREASE NUMBER OF TEACHERS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Davao Oriental tied up with the provincial government to increase the number of qualified teachers for School Year 2023-2024.
The joint effort aims to improve the access to high-quality education.
Dr. Josephine Fadul, DepEd-Davao Oriental Schools Division superintendent, said that they are recruiting and evaluating teacher-applicants for elementary, Junior and Senior High School for SY 2023-2024.
“The teacher-applicants will also be evaluated based on their localization, character, and efficiency,” Fadul said during the Local School Board meeting.
The move is in pursuant with DepEd Order No.007, s.2023 Guidelines on Recruitment, Selection, and Appointment in the Department of Education.
The initiative will also address the issue of volunteer teachers who are Licensure Examination for Teachers passers and have passed DepEd’s Davao Oriental’s Registry of Qualified Applicants but have not been appointed to plantilla positions.
Governor Corazon Malanyaon recognizes the significance of nurturing and retaining skilled educators committed to providing excellent instruction.
