DEPED-CAR LAUNCHES PROGRAM TO BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE OF LEARNERS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education in the Cordillera Administrative Region launched a project in the Buguias National High School that aims to develop the self-confidence of learners through mental and psychosocial support.
The project, dubbed as Salaknib Tan Namnaman or “saving and giving hope,” also aims to prioritize the continuity of education of children by providing necessary learning resources.
OIC-Assistant Regional Director Florante Vergara assured students and parents that despite all the challenges, education should never be sacrificed.
“Those who have less in life should have more from the government,” Vergara said.
Project Salaknib already held its first orientation.
Buguias National High School Principal Luis Igualdo, other teaching and non-teaching staff of the school and Barangay Chairman Glen Bigo of Poblacion, Buguias attended the orientation.
Also present were ESSD Chief Edgar Madlaing, Engr. Christopher Hadsan, Education Program Supervisors Clemente Bandao, Georgina Ducayso and Denia Tarnate.
