DEPED-CAR JOINS CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

The program is part of the celebration of the 30th National Children’s Month and the 11th Juvenile Welfare Consciousness Week.
Regional Gender and Development Council Chairperson and Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Director Leo Quintilla spearheaded the kick-off celebration.
The event started with a parade at the Malcolm Square People’s Park, Lower Session, Baguio City.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Judge Mia Joy Cawed, the guest speaker, stressed the need for a collective effort to protect children and advance women development and empowerment.
They also asked everyone to keep collaborating to promote women’s and children’s rights and safeguard them from all types of violence.
