THE DAVAO City government has started accepting applications for college scholarship.

There are 200 slots for indigent and deserving students who want to pursue their education or take up medical or law courses for Academic Year 2022-2023.

Students can apply under the Scholarship on Tertiary Education Program, Medical Education Assistance Program and Law School Assistance Program.

Applicants must have a 93 percent general average for new college students and an 85 percent general average for medical and law school with no failing grades.

Educational Benefit Systems Unit Technical Assistant Emilio D. Domingo Jr. said that applications will be accepted until June 24, 2022.

STEP scholars will get P25,000 per semester.

Domingo said that candidates can choose their course and school.

Medical and law schools give full and half scholarships.

“Full scholarship means that their tuition and miscellaneous will be paid and P20,000 book allowance for Medical school and P8,000 for Law school. Half-scholarship means half-tuition and miscellaneous will be paid and half of the benefit for book allowance,” he said.
