COTABATO Governor Lala Taliño-Mendoza continued to lead her intensive campaign against illegal drugs to ensure that the youth are protected and empowered to make healthy decisions.

The local government pushed the campaign by “expanding the knowledge and skills of the youth that will help them make informed and healthy decisions as teenagers.”

As part of the initiative, student leaders and teachers from Carmen National High School participated in the event, “Life Skills Enhancement on Drug Use Prevention: Equipping Adolescents with Healthy Choices for a Healthy and Drug-Free Life.”

According to the local government, the event aims to help teenagers develop awareness in their daily lives, especially to “be protected against the use of illegal drugs.”

The activity was jointly sponsored by the Integrated Provincial Health Office under the leadership of Dr. Eva C. Rabaya, the Department of Health Center for Health XII, led by Regional Director Aristides Concepcion Tan, and DepEd Cotabato, represented by Program Coordinator Karen Jae Cabrillos.

Vice Mayor Roger Ryan Taliño, along with municipal councilors Pedro Cabataña and Roger Alemania, also attended the event, demonstrating the local government’s unified support for the campaign.
