COCONUT FARMERS’ KIDS RECEIVE P70K CASH GRANT
CHILDREN of coconut farmers in the province of Catanduanes have received P70,000 in educational cash assistance from the Catanduanes State University.
CatSU President Dr. Patrick Azanza said this initiative aims to help students with their education at the university.
“Maraming CatSU students ang nakinabang dito at ang iba ay nakagraduate na sa kasalukuyan,” Azansa said on his Facebook page.
The university for the program collated a total of P50 million.
“Malaking tulong talaga para sa mga students at kanilang mga pamilya at magulang ang scholarship at cash assistance program na ito,” he added.
Azanza said that this is part of CatSU’s Office of Student Scholarship, Assistance, and Development Services which aims to help students through financial services.
The president also said that this initiative is a first, noting that several senators and partylists’ offices contributed to the program.
Other students in need and qualified were also given P40,000, which was sourced under the Commission on Higher Education’s merit scholarship program, Azanza added.
