THE CEBU City local government unit, Cebu Normal University and Schools Division Office vowed to support the “Tara, Basa!” tutoring program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

On March 8, officials and representatives of the LGU and CNU signed the Pledge of Commitment Book during the ceremonial kick-off activity for the tutoring program at Cebu City Hall.

Among the signatories from DSWD were Undersecretary for Innovations Edu Punay, Social Technology Bureau Asst. Director Helen Suzara, DSWD Central Visayas Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero, Asst. Regional Director for Administration Tonyson Luther Lee, Asst. Regional Director for Operations Juanito Cantero, and Social Technology Unit Head Ligaya Dael.

For Cebu LGU, Mayor Michael Rama; Taraka, Lanao del Sur Mayor Amenodin Sumagayan have signed.

CNU President Dr. Daniel Ariaso Sr. and CNU-College of Teacher Education Dean Dr. Venus Cortez also signed while for the Department of Education, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nimfa Bongo and DepEd Region-7 Chief Education Supervisor of Education Support Service Division Tomas Pastor showed support.
