SOME 500 students from Dasmariñas, Cavite received PagbaBAGo bags which contained school supplies and dental kits.

Rutchiel Moratal, 28, was one of the mothers whose children were beneficiaries of the PagbaBAGo campaign of the Office of the Vice President.

Moratal said that raising her children is challenging, thus she learned the significance of family planning.

“[Natutunan ko] sa family planning na kailangan muna pagplanuhin para hindi dumami nang dumami ang anak at hindi kami mahirapan sa pagpapa-aral sa mga anak namin,” she said.

Moratal admitted that they find it difficult to make both ends meet with her husband’s income as a construction worker.

“Hindi na po gaanong sapat [ang kita ng asawa] dahil masyado na pong mataas ang mga bilihin ngayon,” she said.

But despite the financial challenges in the family, she wants her children to have a good education.

“Sa paglaki nila, sana gumanda ‘yung pamumuhay nila, kahit hindi na po sa amin basta sa kanila lang,” she said.
