CAVITE PROV’L GOV’T HIRES TEACHER ASSISTANTS
THE PROVINCIAL government of Cavite will hire teacher assistants to provide work to teachers who lost their jobs because of the pandemic.
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said in a post that the provincial government is making preparations for the hiring of supplementary teachers.
Remulla explained that the teacher aides will be teachers from private schools who lost their jobs. He added that they will also hire education graduates who have yet to pass the licensure examinations for teachers.
However, Remulla clarified that the teachers will not be permanent employees of the government.
“Kahit papaano ito ay makatutulong na rin na mapagaan ang sitwasyon ng mga mag-aaral, magulang, principal at para sa kanilang nangangailangan ng trabaho,” he said.
The governor said that 100 private schools in Cavite closed because of low enrollment.
Meanwhile, enrollment in public schools this school year increased by about 40 percent compared to last year. Senior high school have the most number of enrollees.
