BMBHTE HIRES 203 TEACHERS
THE BANGSAMORO Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education hired 203 teachers to expand its personnel amid the implementation of distance learning.
Of this number, 81 will teach in elementary, 37 in secondary, and 6 in Alternative Learning System in the division of Lanao del Sur 1.
Lanao del Sur II, on the other hand, had 46 elementary, 27 secondary, and 6 ALS teachers.
The teachers took their oath on Friday at the Parang National High School in Maguindanao.
Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal said that only 4.5 percent of the 4,229 applicants were hired to “provide service and technical knowledge and skills to the whole Bangsamoro community.”
He added that more teachers will be hired in the coming months.
The ministry will also open 1,400 scholarship slots next year for the children of former combatants.
