BICOL SCHOOLS SUSPEND CLASSES
THE ATENEO de Naga University suspended classes in all levels for the rest of the week to give time to students and staff to recover from the devastation wrought by typhoon Rolly.
“To allow our community members more time to recover from the effects of the typhoon, classes in all levels and in all forms (synchronous, asynchronous) are suspended for the rest of this week,” the university said.
It said that work for its personnel during the week is optional.
The Bicol University also suspended classes in all levels effective November 3, 2020 until further notice.
The Batangas State University also announced that synchronous classes in all levels will be suspended from November 3 to 4, to give time to students and staff to attend to their families and domestic concerns.
However, the university said that asynchronous classes will continue provided that deadlines of the assignments due this week will be extended until November 9.
Typhoon Rolly pounded the Bicol region on Sunday, leaving a trail of devastation in many areas.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said more than two million people were affected by the typhoon.
