MEMBERS of the Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted Brigada Pagbasa for the students of Calayucay Elementary School to enhance their reading and comprehension skills.

The project is part of the initiative of the Department of Education Division Office of Apayao.

Aside from teaching students, the policemen also provided snacks to the pupils.

Food packs were also provided to the families adversely affected by the pandemic through the help of Saint Paul University Philippines Community Development Center Foundation, Inc.

Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar commended the Apayao police officers.

“Ipinapakita lamang nito na binibigyang-halaga ng PNP ang edukasyon ng bawat kabataan sa bansa lalo na ‘yung mga nasa maliliit na komunidad,” Eleazar said.

“Magandang hakbang ito upang maipakitang kakampi ang mga pulis at hindi sila dapat kinakatakutan,” he added.
