FIFTY public schools in Region 7 will conduct limited face-to-face classes when School Year 2021-2022 opens, an official of the Department of Education said.
DepEd-7 Regional Director Dr. Salustiano Jimenez said that although Central Visayas was only given 50 slots, around 100 schools were prepared for the holding of physical classes.
“I visited those schools proposed for limited face-to-face. Naabot nako ug Camotes, Bantayan Island, naabot nako ug Bohol, Negros, Siquijor,” Jimenez said.
These schools were chosen because they complied with the requirements to conduct in-person classes, he said.
“So tripartite shared responsibility to see to it that all protocols and requirements to have a safe and secure school, and the safety of the learners is secured, mao na ang gitan-aw nato,” he added.
Schools are only allowed to accommodate 50 percent of their capacity.
These schools installed foot baths, washing areas, and alcohol stations.
