THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology has installed #FreeWifi4All in 43 schools in Zamboanga City to provide Internet connection to students.

During the launch of #FreeWifi4All in Zamboanga, DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan said that the project unites and connects Filipinos.

“Eto kasi ‘yung matagal na nating inaasam-asam hindi lamang para sa sarili natin but we do this for our next generation and leaders or children,” Honasan said.

Mindanao Cluster 1 DICT Regional Director Tess Camba said students and teachers will benefit from the free internet service.

“Whatever the situation is, learning has to go on. To help our teachers cope, DICT provides free internet to schools,” Camba said.

As of October 23, 6,122 active Free Wifi 4 All sites have been installed in the country.
