2,828 SCHOOLS IN WESTERN VISAYAS READY TO IMPLEMENT F2F CLASSES
OVER 2,000 public and private schools in Western Visayas are ready for the implementation of face-to-face classes, an official of the Department of Education said.
DepEd Region VI information officer Hernani Escullar Jr. said that 2,828 schools passed the evaluation for the holding of in-person classes.
“We have 2,828 nominated schools in both public and private, which means they passed the validation at the provincial level and some will be for validation by the regional office. That’s 55.94 percent of our total schools,” Escular said.
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio earlier said that all public and private schools must hold five days of F2F classes beginning November 2.
On Wednesday, President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. said blended learning can continue only in specific areas because of several issues such as availability of classrooms and teachers, internet connectivity, and the increasing number of Covid19 cases might affect the conduct of physical classes.
