2 PCG OFFICERS TO HELP TEACHERS IN PALAWAN

/ 22 August 2022

TWO officers of the Philippine Coast Guard will assist teachers in Pag-asa Island in Palawan as face-to-face classes resume on Monday.

According to the PCG, CG Ensign Jev Lativ and CG Ensign Arnel Gomora have Bachelor of Elementary Education degrees.

Latic is PCG Kalayaan’s station commander while Gomora is the deputy station commander.

PCG District Palawan commander Commodore Rommel Supangan said Pag-asa Island had only one teacher who handled all the students from Grades 1 to 6.

He added that the Operation Brotherhood Community Foundation Inc. helped with the establishment of PCG-OB Community Center which aims to expand the knowledge of the youth and encourage them to participate in the preservation of the natural resources of the island.
