16 INDIVIDUALS IN YOUTH CENTER GRADUATE FROM ELEMENTARY AND HS
SIXTEEN youth from Bahay Pag-Asa Youth Center in Palawan have completed elementary and high school for School Year 2022-2023.
The BPYC serves as a shelter for the Palaweño youth who have problems with the law who are under the care of the Provincial Welfare and Development Office.
In a post, PIO Palawan said one of them finished elementary, six graduated from Senior High School while nine graduated from Junior High School through the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System.
Student-residents received recognition for their excellence demonstrated in the various learning strands of ALS, good behavior and participation in the previous ALS Tagis Galing.
One of the graduates expressed gratitude to ALS and BYPC as he was given an opportunity to have an education.
“Salamat sa ALS at Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center, kasi nabigyan ako ng chance makapag-aral na akala ko hindi ko na magagawa pa dahil sa sitwasyon ko noon. Salamat kasi sa pag-aaral, at sa tulong ninyong lahat, mas nakilala ko ang aking sarili,” one graudate said.
