THE OFFICE of the Vice President has given over 1,000 bags to the students of Makato in Aklan province under its program “PagbaBAGo Bags.”

The bags were distributed to Grade 1 to Grade 4 students. Each bag also contained school supplies and hygiene kits.

The local government of Makato expressed its gratitude to Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Mayor Ramon Anselmo Martin Legaspi III also thanked the OVP for bringing the program to the town of Makato.

The OVP said it was thrilled that the beneficiaries were happy with the donation.

“Bakas sa ngiti ng mga beneficiaries ang excitement na gamitin ang mga bagong school supplies na kanilang natanggap mula sa OVP,” it said.

Meanwhile, 220 students at the Mindanao State University – Marawi Campus and Magonaya Elementary School also received the said bags.
