10 KABACAN JAIL DETAINEES FINISH ELEMENTARY AND JHS
TEN detainees at the Kabacan District Jail graduated from elementary and high school on Monday.
All completed their studies through the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System.
Among the graduates, four finished elementary school while six graduated from Junior High School in the ceremony themed “Lifelong Learning: Breaking barriers, bringing hope and progress.”
Kabacan Mayor Evangeline Pascua-Guzman expressed hope that the 10 graduates will inspire other detainees to continue studying despite being inside the district jail.
Kabacan District Jail Warden Luzviminda Lobino gave assurances that they will continue to work with other government agencies to give equal justice to persons deprived of liberty.
Lobino also thanked the local government of Kabacan for its support to the programs of their facilities.
