WATER UTILITIES TO IMPROVE WATER SUPPLY IN MALOLOS SCHOOLS

/ 13 June 2025

WATER utilities in Malolos, Bulacan, will enhance water supply services in local schools ahead of the class opening on June 16.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Administrator Jose Moises Salonga confirmed that the City of Malolos Water District and PrimeWater, which manage the city’s water distribution, have begun coordinating the necessary repairs.

“Ayon po sa kanila, kailangan po magkaroon ng improvement sa water supply service sa dalawang affected barangays,” said Castro.

She added that PrimeWater has committed to completing repairs on the affected pump station by June 13, 2025.

The two agencies are also expected to coordinate with the drainage contractor to ensure the restoration of the damaged main water line.

According to Castro, the repairs and system restoration are expected to normalize water service in the affected areas before the start of the school year.

President Marcos previously emphasized the need for clean toilets with running water, expressing concern about the health and well-being of students.

During his visit to two schools in Bulacan for the launch of Brigada Eskwela 2025, the President was dismayed by the poor condition of the school toilets and the lack of access to clean, running water.
