VICE PRESIDENT and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio met with the officials of the Golden Arches Development Corporation, the master franchise holder of McDonald’s in the Philippines, and discussed steps on how to support the education sector.

Kenneth Yang, president and chief executive officer of Golden Arches, and his team shared their projects for the education sector such as the “Night Classroom,” the “Ronald McDonald Read To Learn,” and “Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit.”

Duterte thanked Yang and his team for their continuous support to the education sector.

“Ang McDonald’s ay isa sa mga masigasig na partners ng DepEd sa taunang programa ng Brigada Eskwela, na nagpapalakas sa kalagayan ng edukasyon taon-taon,” Duterte-Carpio said in a post.

The education secretary also called on Filipinos to create a country that will benefit the Filipino children.

“Mga kababayan, patuloy tayo maging MATATAG sa pagtaguyod ng isang Bansang Makabata at mga Batang Makabansa,” she said.
