EDUCATION Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio advised the parents to ensure that their children will finish their studies to help them in the future.

“Bilang Secretary ng Department of Education binigyang-diin ko ang importansya ng edukasyon, na bilang mga magulang, siguraduhin na makapagtapos ang kanilang mga anak dahil ito ang makapagpapabago ng kanilang buhay,” she said in post.

Duterte-Carpio made the statement during her visit to Sugarcane workers from Antique in Negros Occidental under the project “Bisita Sacada”.

The Vice President also encouraged the workers to enroll in Alternative Learning Systema Program of the Department of Education to finish their studies without the need of going to school.

“Hindi madali ang buhay pero mas hindi madali ang buhay ng tao na hindi nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral. Patuloy tayong magkaisa para sa kapayapaan ng ating bayan at para sa edukasyon at kinabukasan ng ating mga anak at pamilya,” she said.

Duterte-Carpio also expressed her gratitude to Gov. Rhodora Cadiao for inviting her to the said event.
