VP SARA LEADS TREE-PLANTING ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOLS
VICE PRESIDENT and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio led the nationwide tree planting activities in various schools as the country celebrates National Teachers’ Month.
This year’s celebration aims to pay tribute to Filipino teachers who are partners in building a patriotic and child-friendly nation.
“Ang pagtatanim ng mga puno ay magsisilbing paalala sa kontribusyon ng mga guro sa buhay ng bawat mag-aaral at sa kaunlaran ng bansa,” Duterte-Carpio said in a post.
The OVP conducted tree planting activities in Bonuan Buquig National High School, Pugaro Integrated School and Caranglaan Elementary School in Dagupan, Burgos West Elementary School in Isabela, Anislag Elementary School in Albay, Sandayung Elementary School in Cebu, Vista Alegre Granada Relocation Elementary School in Bacolod, St. Francis Elementary School in Tacloban, Sirib National High School in Davao, Babag Elementary School in Surigao, Mercedes National High School in Zamboanga, and LRI Sebastian Elementary School in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The month-long event will come to a close on October 5, World Teachers’ Day.
