VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio has visited the teachers in Nuevo Iloco Elementary School in Mawab, Davao de Oro who were conducting stress debriefing for students affected by landslide.

The Vice President visited the victims of the landslide to assess their situation and address their concerns.

Duterte-Carpio said that she witnessed the interventions made by the evacuees to help the students cope with the incident.

“Sa akin pong pag-iikot sa nasabing eskwelahan, nasaksihan ko ang mga ginagawa nilang mga aktibidad katulad ng kantahan at paligsahan upang makatulong na makapagbigay ng kasiyahan sa mga batang nakaranas sa nangyaring trahedya,” the Vice President said.

The landslide happened in Maco, Davao de Oro on February 6 which claimed many lives and injured individuals.

She also expressed her gratitude to the teachers for their support and help to the students.
