VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio said that the Department of Education has been intensifying its interventions and actions to ensure that every Filipino student would experience “appropriate and inclusive education.”

Duterte-Carpio made the remarks during the International Day of Education, also stressing the importance of education to attain peace and prosperity.

The Vice President also shared her program MATATAG Agenda: Bansang Makabata and Batang Makabansa to address the main challenges in education which included various policies to support the implementation of the MATATAG Agenda.

Duterte-Carpio also expressed her gratitude to the local and international partners who were present during the event.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa lahat ng dumalo, mga kinatawan ng iba’t ibang embahada at ating mga local at international partners. Kasama po sa ating panawagan na magkaisa upang mabigyan ng pinakamainam na edukasyon ang ating mga kabataan,” she said.
