VALENZUELA MAYOR MEETS WITH TELCOS FOR BETTER INTERNET SERVICE FOR STUDENTS
VALENZUELA Mayor Rex Gatchalian met with telecommunication and internet providers of the city to discuss on how to improve their services amid the implementation of distance learning.
Gatchalian said that the meeting was meant to air the concerns raised by Valenzuela constituents.
The mayor said he is willing to cooperate with the telcos and suggested the usage of common poles for proper linings.
“The solution is to bring all internet providers to join the #CommonPole Project. Internet providers can expand their network by installing and laying aerial cables in common poles in major roads, avoiding tangled, messy, and unidentified wires,” Valenzuela City said on its Facebook page.
Gatchalian said he does not want any ‘dead spots’ in the city as internet connection is a necessity in the time of Covid19.
“We are enabling an environment to solve the problems of internet connectivity issues. I can only get mad so much but at the end of the day, we have to find solutions to improve the internet services in the city,” he said.
