UST SHS TEACHER WINS NATIONAL CULTURE-BASED MODULE WRITING AWARD
A SENIOR High School teacher from the University of Santo Tomas has won an award at the 13th Diwang Sagisag Kultura ng Filipinas Competition.
Vince Francis Famorcan was recognized in the Lesson Exemplar: Culture-Based Module Writing Contest category for his entry titled “Hinabing Pamana: Pag-unawa sa Kabuhayan at Kultura sa Ilaya at Ilawod.”
The winning piece underscored the value of culture-based instruction by integrating the Sagisag Kultura ng Filipinas framework into classroom learning.
His module promotes cultural awareness, pride, and a stronger sense of national identity among students.
Famorcan is a faculty member of the Humanities and Social Sciences cluster of UST Senior High School.
The competition was organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) through the Philippine Cultural Education Program, recognizing initiatives that advance cultural education nationwide.
